Okay, in honor of Spring, I’ve decided to get up off of my lazy ass and do my makeup. HA. I haven’t done my makeup like this in awhile, so I’m surprised how quickly I got it done.
A bit sloppy, to me, but I liked it. (PLEASE EXCUSE THE FOUNDATION. THE LADY AT ULTA DIDN’T MATCH ME AS WELL AS WE BOTH THOUGHT HAHAH.. but it’s not so noticeable in person with a light face powder)
having fun 😉 (sorry for the phone quality above)
I did my face/brows as per usual. For my lips I used a dark, dusty rose toned liner and mixed a bright orange and pink lipstick. It created this WONDERFUL shade and I hope to the highest heavens that I can whip this shit up again. FA REAL.
On my lids, I started with a dark magenta/maroon (over a base, of course), and added a darker version of that to the outer corners. (SORRY IF I DON’T KNOW CORRECT “TERMS”.. you know what I’m talking about) In the very middle, I used this BEAUTIFUL pearly colour that blended out so nicely, keeping a pop.
Pictured below is the overwhelming majority of what I used for this look!
AAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDD of course at the end of the day, you have to take all this shit off or else you’ll break the F out (at least I will).
I don’t have any photos, because my dumbass accidentally deleted them :-), so I’m just going to list what I do/use.
- I use organic coconut oil on a cotton pad to remove most of the makeup that I’ve caked on
- I wash my face with pretty warm water and Biore’s baking soda face wash. IT. IS. AMAZING. It’s my favorite one at the moment
- I pat my face dry, of course, and use the smallest amount of Bio Oil as moisturizer
Okay, So I’ve seen a lot of REALLLLLLYYYYY fantastic mockups on IG, that just look like normal flatlays. I’ve been curious and wanted to try it out myself, so here’s the result (mind you, I did not use my computer while making this.. I’ll include details!).
So, it isn’t the best because… okay the elephant in the room is that god awful fucking pen. Jesus take the wheel.. please. Other than that (and the fuzzy quality.. moving this from my phone) I really like it! I mean, it’s my first try, and I wasn’t expecting it to be spectacular, but it turned out better than expected.
I actually did this on an app (iPhone, not sure if they have it for Android.. sorry!) called “Over”. I’m on their 7 Day free trial, but the PRO version (how you have access to all of this) runs for $9.99… PER MONTH. They have some amazing tools, so if you edit on your phone a bit, it could be worth it.
On the other hand, if you have Photoshop (like I do) you will have access to these same tools (some not included, as the cutesy quote things that I LOVE). It’s so simple and easy to make a mockup if you’d like a little extra “BAM” in your feed. They are so fun to make your own, too! Like in mine, I’ve included the details to this post, and my blog site “written” with that stupid pen. 😉
Hope you guys enjoyed this, and I hope to post some more on mockups within the next week or two.. Can’t wait to mess around with these!
