NEW SKIN CARE! (combo/oily) – Mini (literally) Product Review!!

SOOOO I recently (maybe two/three months ago… oops) got my hands on some samples, and I’ve recently (two weeks.. )started using them all together, to see if my skin would improve! I have combination/oily skin, so I’m pretty scared to put new stuff on my face, but these work SO. WELL. together!

Now, I’ve already mentioned the Cindy Crawford product before, but these little samples are about to make me burn a huge hole in my pocket.

ITEMS FEATURED:

  • Meaningful Beauty Cindy Crawford – Crème de Sérum
  • HONEST BEAUTY – Beyond Protected Daily Fluid (No longer sold.. I’m fucking upset about it)
  • First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
  • HONEST BEAUTY – Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser

OKAY OKAY I KNOW, why post about the HB daily fluid if they don’t have it anymore? Well, so you’re at least able to know what it can do for you and find a product that’s probably a lot better (FIRST AID BEAUTY.. AHEM). Sorry, HB. </3 (I only use a couple of drops of it in the morning with MBCC, so not too much of a loss.)

MORNINGS: I just wash my face with my Biore Baking Soda Liquid Pore Cleanser (shown in a previous post.. buy it here!) and moisturize with MB and the daily fluid. The Meaningful Beauty also works as an amazing foundation primer, so that’s a plus, too!

NIGHTS: I remove my make up with coconut oil, and wipe that off with a damp cloth. I wash my face with the HB gel cleanser, pat dry, and apply a pump of the Meaningful Beauty and a small amount of FAB’s hydrating serum.

BEFORE: I would wake up and my face would be sooo oily around my nose/forehead/cheeks/chin. Now, I wake up and my face is just soft and fresh.. THE BEST FEELING. ❤

It really disappoints me that the daily fluid is no longer available to purchase, but honestly, with what it does, you could probably have better results with FAB’s 5 in 1 Face Cream (SPF 30). I’m DEFINITELY going to be picking some up. One of the problems it helps with is dryness, but with combo/oily skin (primarily oily, though) YOU NEED TO MOISTURIZE YOUR FACE. STOP NOT MOISTURIZING YOUR FACE BECAUSE YOU THINK IT’LL GET WORSE. THAT’S MAKING IT WORSE!!!!!! Trust me, I KNOW. BUT!! This product is OIL FREE!!! so you’re in the clear!

*I will be doing a review on it soon, promise. ❤

So.. Who Am I?

Okay, This is my 3rd post within 24 hours (who fucking cares), and I just wanted to address my last post.

Yes, those are all facts about me, but honestly.. I’ve been kind of holding back with you guys. Who am I? Am I a beauty blogger? Fashion blogger? Lifestyle blogger? Photographer? I post about all of these things, yes..IMG_2390_01

but I’m also a wife, a best friend, a dog mom, a brat, moody as fuck, annoying, sarcastic, and somewhat (okay.. very) vulgar when it comes to my language. I take Baileys in my coffee and shit from no one. I yell a lot, have strange humor, am pretty obnoxious, and I don’t like biting my tongue.

Am I mean? Fuck no. 😉 I have a heart of gold, and put everyone before me. But I’m not about to fake who I am anymore. It’s just not in my nature.

I figure I’m going to keep my readers either way, (maybe some come and go), but why hold back? It’s not.. me. And I want this to be fully me. Take it or leave it, but I’m here to stay.

First Product Review, YAY!

Okay, so I FINALLLLLYYY got my hands on this Wet N Wild photofocus pressed powder, and I am IN LOVE. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS.

With my foundation (I switch between Tarte and Too Faced) I usually use a translucent loose powder to set it (by Tarte), along with a matte setting spray (by NYX). After this, I usually have to set my face a few times a day, just because my skin can get pretty oily. Although I have combination skin, this Arizona weather confuses it hahah.

After using THIS product over my face makeup (no loose powder, no setting spray, etc), my face was STILL matte by the end of the day. Keep in mind that it’s already hitting the 90s in this p art of Arizona. GROSS. >_>

I am VERY iffy about products like this, because I have spent so much money trying to find something that would keep me matte (especially around my nose and my forehead).

This product, I shit you not, is the Holy Grail of pressed powders. Honest to the makeup gods. Best part? It’s $5. That’s less than I spend on a large iced coffee and 2 donuts at Dunkin’. If you have $5 to spare, I highly recommend you try this out. I purchased mine at Walgreens but you can also get it online (with shipping) here! They have an okay range of colors, but I got myself the lightest they had and it works VERY well with my skin, so I’m hoping all shades are blendable! 🙂

On another note, pictured are some of my FAVORITE beauty items for a soft, natural look- a daily wear!

I’d like to do more product reviews! I’m in love with this. Maybe let me know what you guys would like to see reviewed? 🙂 I’d appreciate it!
